My name is Marisa, which translates to "of the Sea" in Latin. I love art and fashion, as well as jewelry and crafting, so naturally I started making my own jewelry at home as a hobby. I was inspired by Zara Larsson's midnight sun album to create my first seashell necklace for her concert. When I did that I had created my own unique jewelry designing process, combining seashells, colors and shimmer, lead free solder, charms and gems, all strung together with matching beads. After I made the first one the inspiration kept flowing. It felt fun and refreshing and I'm constantly thinking of different variants I can make with this combo I created. I had found something that nourishes my creativity.

I've always dreamed of opening my own business for my art and even tried to before but I didn't know anything about owning a business or marketing. I started taking business classes to learn more, it helped me gain a lot of insight and I was doing really good in my classes until I got diagnosed with dry eye disease due to long hours of online schoolwork at a computer, leading me to drop out of college. Despite the change in plans I didn't let it discourage me and I decided to take what I've learned from school, as well as my skills in jewelry making and combine them to make my own brand. I created this brand with the goal of bringing fun and authenticity into the jewelry world of fashion. And to evoke a sense of freedom through expression, connection with the earth, and connection to ones inner self.
